1. Creating "Slide Library: Crack series", RISD hot shop, 2006.

 

Three short clips documenting Jocelyne Prince creating "Slide Library: Crack series". In this work a glass bubble is blown and then given a thermal shock by touching it with a foreign object. In the first clip the object is a piece of petrified wood, next is a ring and third is a piece of drift wood. Each object creates a specific crack in the glass vessel. Compressed air is used to make the stress more apparent.
